SWR to Run Special Trains for Deepavali Festival

South Western Railway has decided to run special trains for one trip between Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru-Karwar and Yesvantpur-Mangaluru Junction to accommodate the extra rush of passengers during the Deepavali festival. The details are as follows:

Train Nos.06597/06598 SMVT Bengaluru-Karwar-SMVT Bengaluru Express Special (1 trip)

Train No. 06597 will depart from Sir M. Visvesvaraya Terminal, Bengaluru at 1 p.m. on October 30, 2024 and reach Karwar station at 4 a.m. the next day. The train will travel via Chikbanavar, Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur, Bantawala, Surathkal, Mulki, Udupi, Barkur, Kundapura, Byndoor, Bhatkal, Murdeshwar, Honnavar, Kumta, Gokarna Road and Ankola stations.

In the return direction, Train No. 06598 will depart from Karwar at 12 p.m. on October 31, 2024 and reach SMVT Bengaluru at 4 a.m. the next day, following the same route.

The train will consist of 18 coaches, including 4 General Second Class coaches, 10 Sleeper Class coaches, 2 AC Three-tier coaches and 2 Second Class Luggage/Brake Vans with Disabled Coaches.

Train Nos.06565/06566 Yesvantpur-Mangaluru Jn-Yesvantpur Express Special (1 trip)

Train No. 06565 will depart from Yesvantpur at 11:50 p.m. on October 30, 2024 and reach Mangaluru Junction at 11:45 a.m. the next day via Kunigal, Channarayapatna, Hassan, Sakleshpur, Subrahmanya Road, Kabakaputtur and Bantawala stations.

In the return direction, Train No. 06566 will depart from Mangaluru Junction at 1 p.m. on October 31, 2024 and reach Yesvantpur at 9:15 p.m. the same day, following the same route.

The train will consist of 21 coaches, including 4 General Second Class coaches, 7 Sleeper Class coaches, 6 AC Three-tier coaches, 2 AC Two-tier coaches, and 2 Luggage/Brake Van cum Generator Cars.
